How to access images within Canva
🧑🎨 To provide you with easier access and more autonomy over the images used in the pre-launch and launch assets, Intellect hosts all its images on Canva. With Canva, you can:
- Add your organisation’s logo according to your own brand guidelines
- Change fonts and colours if you wish (we understand certain organisations would like the images to be consistent with their organisation’s branding)
- Make immediate changes to dates and times if needed, without any back and forth
This guide will walk you through how to use Canva with ease. Happy designing!
Getting Started: How to access images within Canva
- Some assets within the documents will be hyperlinked to the image on Canva.
- Click on the link. It should automatically bring you to the image file on Canva. If it does not open, you can right click the underlined text to copy the link and paste it in your browser.
- Click on “File,” then select “Make a copy.”
- If you do not have an existing Canva account, it will prompt you to create one. We recommend signing up with your work email address.
- You can now edit the image!
Designing: How to add logos and change colours and fonts
- To upload a logo, click on “Uploads” on the left toolbar, then upload your organisation’s logo.
- To add a logo to the image, delete the <COMPANY LOGO> placeholder. Click on your organisation’s logo under “Uploads,” then adjust your logo to fit the image.
We recommend keeping the original colours and fonts for brand recognition. However, if you’d like to change them due to your organisation’s branding guidelines, you may do so:
- To change the text colour, click on the text you’d like to edit. Then, click on the “A” in the top bar. Select the colour you want to change it to.
- To change the font, click on the drop down menu on the left of the top bar. Select the font you want to change it to.
All changes are automatically saved.
Using the Image: How to download the image
- Once you’ve made any necessary edits or are satisfied with the image as is, download the image by clicking on the “Share” button in the top right corner. Select “Download.”
- Choose the file type (we recommend using PNG), select the page, then click “Download.”
- The image will be downloaded to your device and is ready to be used!
